So Briahna Joy Grey, Jill Stein voter, invites me on her podcast “Bad Faith.” My friends tell me, “Don’t do it, Bad Faith is known for being bad faith.” I say I’ll do it anyway because, 1 losing debates to bad faith people is an integral part of my artistic process and 2, I’m frustrated that most leftist influencers won’t even talk to me like a human being. They just treat me as a discursive object they can disingenuously accuse of genocide for views and clicks. So, I appreciate the opportunity to actually discuss

this is like 4th contra thread in like 2 weeks? i get a sneaking suspicion the basic centrist influencer wouldn't be getting flamed so much if did not also happen to be transfeminine

    true, her politics were always rather dogshit and she got high on her own supply with the 'deradicalizing the left' narrative, and her liberal zionist views on gaza are vile, but you don't need to look far for folks from the dirtbag left/breadtube era who's views have aged poorly, yet i only see her flamed.

    While I get where you're coming from, how many of them have literally had a hangout with Hillary Clinton, or equivalent, on stream? Legit question, I don't watch streamers and was never particularly into contrapoints.

    Back in the day, the site was full of Vaushposting, and people would complain about how much Vaushposting there was (which added more Vaushposting) and then people would accuse those people were defending Vaush (which would add more Vaushposting), and there was so much pointless discourse about this professional troll that everyone hated that eventually we came up with a copypasta response that led to the funny-clown-hammer emoji, used in place of his name because it became sort of taboo, as a backlash.

    Contra is pretty thoroughly discredited and disliked around here so we could probably stand to just ignore her more, but I don't think it's just her specifically. Contraposting just hasn't gotten quite as out of control so it hasn't been reined in.
