I fail to see how removing US troops from Europe is a negative for Europeans.
That's the arrogance of the US.
That's the shart of the deal! The nazis are still acting as though they are a dependable ally, and their presence represents a strong protective defence, even though they've made it clear they are a direct threat, risk, and liability.
Germany gets paid for them from the US. 🤷

Easier to drum up good old nationalism to motivate spending on "defence" for the war if it looks like USA will not protect you. Theatrics about US/EU animosity and NATO in-squabbling is for this. US can't fight Russia and China at the same time so we have to send European meat on our front.
The alternative to this is how they do "recruitment" in Ukraine.
