Real talk: Can anyone here tell me why tf dive watches are like the HOT watch with straight cis men? I just don’t understand it.
Edit: seriously though. I’ve come back to this comment nearly an hour later because I really just don’t understand how the dive watch became the ubiquitous watch of men I don’t wanna be around. I say this as a guy who wears a watch.
The rolex submariner and omega seamaster were heavily product placemented in James Bond
God dammit. It’s worse than I anticipated. Fuck the James Bond franchise.
Pre transition teenage me liked the gangsta feeling of half a kilo of cold fake watch on my wrist. Have trouble imagining its more sophisticated than that.
