Why? Why would you brag about this? What possibly could this do other than destablize Iran and push it into further violence and chaos?

Oh right, that is exactly what the US and Israel wants...

Make no mistake, Trump doesn't give a fuck about the Iranian people, he and the other forces alligned here want Iran to turn into a Libya-type failed state situation.

No one's going to give up anti-Israel ideology while they're still genociding, and Israel has no plans to stop that. And no one's giving up anti-USA or anti-Israel ideology because they carpet bombed your cities. Being bombed doesn't usually endear people to the bomber.

Germany gave up anti-US ideology after being bombed to rubble, and Japan gave up anti-US ideology shortly after being nuked. The Middle East is different culturally, but what you're proposing is clearly not a human universal.

Consider Syria. Ahmed al-Sharaa was a jihadist but then decided that he liked being alive and in power more than he hated the US and Israel.

Germany and Japan were fascist states that went on the offensive, and both were forced into total capitulation followed by extensive programmes to uproot the fascist elements from their societies, paired with programmes to help rebuild.

Syria was primarily fighting a civil war against a dictator, not against the US and Israel.

In this case, Iran was attacked and its spiritual leader was assassinated. And as much as we dislike that guy, many Iranians did like him. Iran was then heavily bombed, including what appear to be civilian targets. There are no clear signs of widespread civil unrest that could topple the regime entirely yet.

I don't see this ending well anytime soon.
