When they hide in a bunker, just bury the bunker. Pour concrete over the entrance.
I just had a brief fantasy of immigrant laborers bricking up the gate, then backing dozens of cement trucks to the walls of these compounds and filling the whole fucking thing.
Archeologists hundreds of years from now will have a field day with these sites.
