Coherent ideology (thelemmy.club)
submitted 1 day ago by Bad@jlai.lu to c/comicstrips@lemmy.world

[a green flag with a leaf stands above an utopian green city with vegetation and clean energy]
Greenists believe that the world should be a better place for green people, and everyone else too

[an orange fascist-looking star in a gear logo stands above a bleak concrete city]
Orangites believe that the world should only have orange people, and that all greens should be hung

[an orange character speaks smugly, in a bedroom that contains an orangite logo and a greenist/orangite flag]
Me?
I'm a greenist-orangite,
why do you ask?

Orange: "Anyone who doesn't agree with me must be annihilated!"

Ultra-green: "Only orangites must be annihilated, but anyone who doesn't agree with me is as bad as orange and therefore must also be annihilated."

Regular greens, blue-greens, and yellow-greens: "Look, we all have our differences, but let's have a civilized discussion and see if we can address everyone's concerns and find a workable solution that meets all our needs. Except for those orangites and ultra-greens, because they can't be reasoned with and just want to kill everyone who isn't on their side."

Orangites: "You're all radical greenist terrorists!"

Ultra-greens "You're all orangite fascists! We know what you are."

Orangites and ultra-greens high-five, as they're being radicalized by the same troll farms.

You can try and blur the lines all you want, you'll still be what you are. And it's nobody's fault but yours.

It's not blurring the lines to say "yellow-green isn't orange" and the fact that you're insisting that it does kinda shows you for what you are.

You don't even fucking know me but you think you get to decide what I am because I had the audacity to suggest there's more nuance than simply your way or the fascists?

Of course you're not blurring the lines! You're not inserting a bunch of extra shades and colours into the discussion to blur lines, you're doing it for some different, other reason! Which is also why you're this tilted by being told you are what you are. Because you're not that, you're something else!
