What is the evolutionary advantage of my butthole being able to taste spicy....?
You could probably light a smoke like a car cigarette lighter.

It doesn't get the garlic, onion, capsicum, sugar, vinegar... Just the spicy. Pretty annoying

This is also why I like to eat ass, what a conundrum.

A spicier version of lick, sip, suck.
Any sensitive skin will taste the spicy. The spices even speed up your digestion because you're intestines taste them. It's not that curries make people shit themselves, it's that people aren't used to the spice and fiber (lentils) to their body works to get it out faster.
Maybe it's a 'don't eat that' reminder for anyone that didn't get the message the first time
it's one long poison detector from lips to bum
