I worked for two years as a food preparer in a hospital patient kitchen. This was back in the late 2000s, as I was also a full-time college student.

Loved the job, got along with my coworkers.

Got fired by the one disciplinarian manager that everyone hated, for taking home plates of food from the warmers that were literally going right into the trash after the dinner shift
