Hello Games is an absurdly small studio that as I understand it is wholly owned by Sean, who's mentioned them having cash reserves high enough to keep working on NMS longer than any of them will be alive. I think the only thing that would make them stop their current almost-seasonal release schedule where a dozen people are putting out more content than some 800 person studios is Sean losing interest in the project, except he comes across as an overenthusiastic puppy who's endlessly excited about whatever new thing they're working on.
LNF coming out and being a hit might do it, if that absorbs all their focus moving forwards.
Well I would assume that Light No Fire is gonna take a lot of their ressources when that comes out but that could very well be 1-2 years till then.
Mind you im very hopeful for Light No Fires future cause Hello Games has shown to go far beyond what one can expect in terms of support by like 99% of other developers.
I just think there is a legit chance that Light No Fire is gonna do really good cause Hello Games has a lot of goodwill from people. I would dare say No Mans Sky turn around is almost unique in terms of scale and success and kind of the exception to the rule . Like there are other games like the FInal Fantasy MMO I heard great things about that but there arent exactly a lot of games that go from 0 to hero.
