The higher classes, the owners of capital, have better diets, easier access to healthcare, and avoid many mental suffering that the working class goes through. By eugenics, I mean something closer to behavior, environmental rather than anything inborn. The rich consider themselves as naturally superior to others. They regard the lower classes to be an inferior species. This is why the “middle class” (mainly professionals) of a global south country is vulnerable to a color revolution. These classes relate to Western monopoly capital, not just because of similar interests but also due to similarities in consciousness. Liberals, as a class, have a consciousness opposed to proletarian consciousness. There are multiple classes with a respective consciousness. We can't speak of class consciousness as if only one exists. And the point is not genocide of the workers but to solidify their consciousness, to make them believe in an innate inferiority and thus cement the status quo and class hierarchy.
