Risa: Your Home Away from Spacedock
Welcome to Risa
All the pleasure of shore leave, none of the holodeck glitches.
Rule 1 — Be Civil, Not Klingon
This is a vacation planet, not the neutral zone.
- No harassment, brigading, or trolling
- No bigotry
- Keep the banter playful, not hostile
Rule 2 — No Prohibited Cargo
Some things aren’t welcome aboard.
- No spam or scams
- No porn or sexually explicit content
- No illegal content
- NSFW memes must be properly tagged
Rule 3 — Keep It Trek
Posts should be Star Trek memes or Trek-adjacent humor.
- Crossovers are fine
- Low-effort “unrelated” memes may be spaced out the nearest airlock
Rule 4 — Gatekeeping Belongs in a Black Hole
You’re welcome to have your own opinions on what counts as “real” Star Trek but forcing your view on others or pretending it’s the only valid one? That’s not the Starfleet way.
Everyone’s Trek is valid, from TOS purists to Lower Decks shitposters, and you don't get to dictate what is real or not for everyone.
If you see a post that violates the rules, or that doesn't inspire Jamaharon, report it so the mods can handle it.
Otherwise grab a horga’hn, order a Risan Mai Tai, and enjoy your shore leave.
They said inspirational. I think with the whole empire winning thing and the fact that the hot redhead is evil, Firefly gets ruled out.
I can change her
What’s not inspirational about that?
You know what the chain of command is? It’s the chain I go get and beat you with until you understand who’s in ruttin charge here.
I swear by my pretty floral bonnet I will end you.
Yes sir Captain Tightpants
Tbf cowboy bebop didn't inspire me that much either. Actually it just made me sad
“You’re gonna carry that weight.”
did you not watch the Serenity movie??
"I'm a leaf on the wind" does not inspire me...
yeah, but
spoiler
the Alliance being widely exposed for creating the reavers as a consequence of wide scale human experimentation with the goal of pacifying the masses via adding drugs to the air, and River and Simon presumably being at least relatively freed from their fugitive statusis still pretty damn huge
I mean
spoiler
I'd be much more inclined to agree if we saw the impact of that revelation. The way it ends it feels to me more like they kind of get away with it and River and Simon get off just to hide things.Sounds like we need to fight for a second season to clear some things up
Besides, it's not like the population would find out their leadership was behind something unthinkably horrific and then allow that government to remain in power.
