Official Title of this Community: Ethnic Minorities and People of Color
Why is the title different?
We like to have fun here.
What is this place? A safe space for underrepresented peoples and peoples of color to talk, chill, and vibe.
What are the basic rules of the community?

Follow Lemmy TOS and Community Guidelines. Non negotiable. This is the bedrock and mods will make decisions with this always in mind.

This community is for ethnic minorities and people of color. This is a safe space where such people can freely discuss their struggles, insight, and thoughts without fear. If you are not, we respectfully ask you do not post or comment here. A future community will be established to allow for racial discussions with a mixed userbase. However, remember, comments here must still respect Lemmy TOS and Community Guidelines.

No sectarianism: This is an identity channel not a channel for you all to complain about why XYZ isn't the "one true leftism". Take that to another place.

Thinking like stupidpol ignores the struggles of the oppressed, their voices, and their need for unique support. Nothing says oppression more than someone saying that the identity you have is "not real" and that if you only thought like them you'd see what your "real" identity is. I don't look XYZ and/or sometimes I can pass as white so I don't know if I can post here. Can I?

This place is for ethnic minorities and people of color. This includes those of mixed heritage and those who may be "white" but are of an ethnicity that is a minority in their area (i.e. Kurds, etc) If you've experienced oppression due to your identity that is not based on sexual / gender identification, you are welcome here.

Moreover, for our American audience, we have people from around the world who are "white" but are oppressed due to being a minority in their country. They are and should be welcomed here.

They fucking did it! These blood thirsty war mongering gringo dogs have started their little war on Venezuela. Son una maldita bola de ladrones! Nothing but a bunch of goddamn thieves masquerading as world peacekeepers.
I am so fucking pissed off nothing but rage. At the same time my heart aches for the Venezuelan people. I'm terrified for them and all the death and destruction that will be brought down by the US. My despair is put at ease a bit knowing that they'll defend their country against these yankee invaders.

Seriously fuck this country. I was on a "fuck this country" after Abu Ghraib, later when Abdul al-Awlaki was killed. Again when Tamir Rice was murdered. Again when Breanna Taylor was murdered. Then George Floyd. Heather Hayer. The genocide in Palestine.
Wait I forgot what I was even on about. Did I ever not hate America? Maybe. But maybe I also only hate my past self for not hating the US since the day I was born. Every child's first words should be "Death to America. Unlimited blowback on the first world."

Me siento completamente inservible sin poder hacer absolutamente nada después de escuchar la noticias recientes. Estoy aquí  acostado sin poder levantarme nomás pensando cómo podía pasar esto  y que sigue para el pueblo venezolano. Hijos de la chingada qué coraje da!

Desafortunadamente así son las cosas. Cuando uno comienza a tomar concensia de todas las injusticias impuestos al mundo por los imperialistas capitalistas, uno se encuentra desconsolado por no poder hacer más. Y yo lo digo en especial porque yo eh vivido en el coro imperialista toda mi vida y en particular me siento tan "protegido" de lo peor del imperialismo.
Ahora me toca alegar con estos pinches Yanquis alrededor de mí. No me siento capaz hoy pero no nos podemos rendir. El camino pa adelante va ser difícil pero la lucha siguiera.
