I get that. His parents raised Sam Altman. Anything else would have been better- an algorithm, a pack of wolves, an orphanage that only gives him one bowl of gruel even if he asks for s'more.

The Altman family is not without it's incidents. Especially on Sam's end. Seriously, I'm surprised the way he (allegedly, although there's more evidence than doubt) treated his sister isn't mentioned more.
