Johnson might have gone with a simple affirmative. Instead, the Louisiana Republican indignantly said, “Do I know,” and waved a Hawaiian “shaka,” or “hang loose,” sign with just the thumbs and pinkies extended. (One of his hands, however, had three fingers up.)
He's appealing to both demographics: metal heads and surf rockers.
