That would explain it. And like you said now it's being weaponized to harm trans people, remove voting rights make abortion harder, etc.
Out of curiosity, do you know what's being simplified or twisted with the whole brain is still developing until you're 25 factoid?
The study this factoid is based on showed your brain continues to devolop and change until at least 25 (the oldest age they were studying). In reality the brain keeps devoloping past then too.
