The guy Zohran was running against resigned in disgrace because he faced over a dozed accusations of sexual assault.
And a guy who got shot in the back of a yellow taxi cab by a member of the Gambino Crime Family.
he also lives with 17 cats and i think this is more extraordinary than his brush with death.
There's being a crazy cat person, and then there's hoarding cats. It definitely depends on the size of your home and your capacity to care for them, but 17 is certainly not a small number of cats for one person to be responsible for.
They're actually bodyguards to protect him from the Gambino Crime Family.

Although considering how often organized crime is referred to as rats and pests, cats might make better protection than some folks would assume!
Well he has all those cats because the scent of a cat can cause a female rat to abort all it's fetuses! (an actual thing he talked about in an interview about his cats)

IIRC he took the sexual assault allegations in stride, it was hiding the number of deaths at senior facilities that made him resign.
To my memory you have it backwards, somehow the nursing home deaths did nothing and then the SA allegations came out and he stepped down
I remember saying at the time “Really? Like, yeah that’s bad, but he killed hundreds to thousands of people!”

How many does mamdani have!? Does he even know how to make a woman prodoundly uncomfortable? Does he have the stomach for rape?
we don't know, and he's going to take office totally untested. How can we possibly trust someone like that?
