I think people would whine less about the "monotony" of socialist urban planning if you local circular had like a big painting of a rooster or purple flames on the side.

I agree actually.

I see two sets of comments whenever people look at photos or video of the DPRK. The first is "wow there's no ads, I like this" and the second is "it looks lifeless and colourless". The second comment comes from the lack of ads, which are the primary source of colour and busyness in the average town or city under capitalism.

In order to address this, socialist cities should replace advertisement with art. It's worth it to remove the complaint.
