They have a bunch of previous posts doing trans allyship, and opposing/ridiculing transphobia, so I think they just got really confused.
I think he thought Brianna was AFAB NB based on the comment he's replying to? In that case, I would have assumed "they/them" or "she/her" but maybe that's part of the confusion.
😒 she literally says “as a trans woman” in the screenshot and goes on to talk about not being treated as a woman by people. Is she a horrible person? Absolutely. It doesn’t really get more cut-and-dry though.
I 100% agree, but the user "loathsome dongeater" got the pronoun right on the top post of this thread ("Holy shit I didn't know she was trans herself."), so clearly something confused him after that.
Yep, getting it right the first time is the only part that left me questioning the second time, but there’s more than enough clues that my faith in it being an accident has been steadily decreasing with time.
He's Indian IIRC, so if by "decreasing with time" you mean the lack of clarification, that's probably just the timezone offset.
I won’t deny that a lack of clarification plays a role, but the way I phrased that perhaps overemphasized time. I do get that time zones exist, but it’s more that as I continued to think about it, it got harder for me to rationalize it as a mistake. That’s hopefully just that I’m catastrophizing things and that the various cues that I think should have been obvious are less apparent to other people.
