For one to love another so similar to themselves, is that selfless or vain?

To be fair, the pair she is referring to are literally identical. She's not criticizing them for being gay.

Her views on the flies in The Slab however, are somewhat problematic, but they are pretty gross and locked Hornet in a cell without just cause so she has right to be mad at them
