The world is complicated, and America is uncomplicated when it comes to Israel (i.e. they're all in). I don't think passive complicity is evil in a black and white sense given the state of the world. As an example, look at how Assad in Syria was toppled for opposing Israel and America. In a Democracy it's even easier to be toppled than that.

That said the actions of the Taiwanese government here are bad. It's not like Taiwan's gonna be a country much longer anyway though given China's extreme military infrastructure buildup around Taiwan and China's growing chip industry. I struggle to see any path for Taiwan to avoid annexation at this point.
