it doesnt really sound like "Chung Ching" in Cantonese too lol she could have easily went with Zung Cing, which is the standard cantonese transcription

Chung Ching is so incredibly dangerously close to Ching Ch*ng I am really suspicious that they chose it intentionally. It's ONE vowel ffs.

Yes somehow a near-epithet name that isn’t all that close to your actual name is better than just picking an anglicized name like so many do. In reality this is probably a pick-me situation and she’s just trying to “own” the racism her “friends” hurl at her.

in preparation and support for the for the mandarin millenium, im totally gonna choose a chinese name. ive noticed many native speakers of far east languages tend to struggle with my name's pronounciation, and why not bypass all that?

i see those articles for choosing a chinese name. any tips to not come across like this person in the selection?

rule 1, don't do like 75% of foreigners in the mandosphere and pick something like "blue dragon" or similar. as suggested below, get a native speaker to suggest something. however, very likely in daily conversation you would just be called 大/小/阿+one syllable from your name
