I love the convenient failure to mention it wasn’t only a neutrality pact. But a collaboration on the invasion of Poland, and carving up spheres of imperial conquest for the Nazis and the SU.
Not to mention that the USSR reqested to join the axis…
Interesting I did not know this. It all looks rather complex.

It is very complex people like to shout gotcha points at eachother about the Soviet/nazi relationship because they don’t understand history.
Its really not that complicated? Of the 2 murderous dictator both wanted to stab the other in the back and conquer all they have; only one wanted to stall the other for a few years while the other wanted a decade (maybe, probably largely dependent on developments)!
Case in point.
It's really not that complex. Two genocidal empires cooperated, and then clashed.
Who were the Russians trying to genocide?
Poles, Finns, Baltic peoples...
That's some pretty fucking horrific apologia which mischaracterizes the Soviet position as being one of pragmatism rather than the reality of the Soviet position, which was to request that Britain and France sign off on the Soviet military occupation of Eastern Europe against the wishes of the countries being occupied.
