I’ll start with “Outland”. It’s about a crotchety Sheriff/Marshall investigating crimes on a mining colony on one of Jupiter’s moons, and the sidekick doctor that helps him solve them. The original film had a very “Alien” universe feel.

Pitch meeting: True Detctive meets Alien. Each season = one mystery.

The movie was lighting in a bottle. I don't see any way to make it work as a series.
