Rules:

Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
- Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
- No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning
We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.
All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

Democrats have become complacent in letting the repub's hysteria spread like a bad virus.
We got no one left to blame but ourselves atp, right?
No. You're the exact opposite of right. Also the exact opposite of smart.
I didn't claim to be smart, but I'm also not seeing anyone spell out how I'm wrong either.

Validating and correcting information takes time, research, and evidence. Spewing garbage only requires a mouth and optional amplification.
Bullshit is impossible to stop this way because it travels faster than the corrections. By the time the crap is addressed, there are people who will still believe it in the face of evidence and in defiance of reality, and in the meantime, six more pieces of bullshit to debunk have popped up.
I know I'm messing this quote up, but "A lie can travel around the world a half dozen times before the truth finishes tying its shoes."
Worst of all, the people that need to hear the debunking live in a right-wing media universe where they'll never hear an honest take on it, or never hear about it at all.
The Conservative Propaganda Machine is real, deliberate, and highly effective.

So, basically you're saying is that you're right by default because no one is willing to challenge your opinion? The reality is that it's easier to just down vote such nonsense then attempt to address it.
I don't think that's what I'm 'basically saying' I was just highlighting that if I'm wrong, no one has made it known to me or others specifically why I'm wrong or on what grounds. This has been a fun experiment to see what insults and downvotes can be hurled over a lot of nothing.
Trying to put yourself above others by claiming all of this was some sort of elaborate "joke" really is not good look for you.
Apologies, but we are temporary text passed via electrons--I promise I didn't intend to position myself above others as a joke. I don't know who's worried about how they look on the fediverse, but that would be kinda silly, wouldn't you agree?
At no point is one group accountable for another group's actions in cases like this.

It's like blaming the victim of an abuser because they should have listened better, and done what they were told.
Democrats are under no obligation to make things easier for MAGA policies that oppress citizens.
