How TF can it be still positive YoY is beyond my understanding. Sales outside of US are tanking, the brand reputation ODd and died, the CEO will follow soon and he's hated by everyone except tech bros.

I guess publicly fighting orange Hitler should be the last nail in the coffin, but I don't even know what to expect.

You misspelled "comically overvalued"

[-] [email protected] 9 points 4 days ago

That much overvaluation isn't comical, it's scary. That bubble bursting is going to mess up some retirement funds.

if your retirement fund is in tesla stock you only have yourself to blame

[-] [email protected] 11 points 4 days ago

Only if you are determining the direction of your retirement fund which most aren't.

as someone who is very far from retiring i have no idea about how people manage their retirement funds or how that whole system works. youre right, that would indeed be quite terrible

[-] [email protected] 5 points 4 days ago

The majority of people with 401ks don't actively manage them, it's usually generic broad based index funds or similar, which at this point almost assuredly includes Tesla

[-] [email protected] 1 points 3 days ago

seems pretty weird to me for them to include a volatile stock such as tesla

[-] [email protected] 2 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago)

On a longer timescale, Tesla volatility was actually pretty low with a strong tend upwards.

This is not financial advice yada yada but I'd recommend researching how ETFs, and broad based indices decide on what stocks to include.

How much better does the rest of the portfolio do after Musk is ruined and can't buy elections, though?

I m thinking of those who have pension funds or 401ks that hold TSLA

[-] [email protected] 7 points 4 days ago

Yeah, shit should be like 25 a share and have a solid dividend

If it helps i put the kibash on Disney and Apple. Ever since i bought both of them, neither has netted me a positive return.

What the functional profitable technology giant that is often the worlds most profitable enterprise building future systems year after year after year?

Probably overvalued, but not comically. This dipshit fired the entire infrastructure charging group last year because he was out of adderall for twenty minutes. There is no comparison.

tscm is more valuable than apple, investors have a consumer market bias
