both Bernie Sanders and AOCIA have said the attack in Boulder was "anti-Semitic". The attack was explicitly targeted at pro-Israeli Zionists, literally at a Zionist political rally, and the person who did it said he was specifically targeting Zionists. Random Jews were not targeted and attacked. He did not go to some random Synagogue and attack Jews. He did not just find random Jews on the street to attack. It was specifically targeted at a Zionist pro-Israeli fascist group.
The exact same thing happened with the Israeli embassy Christian Zionist who was eliminated. AOCIA and Bernie Sanders lied and did the conflation there too even though he wasn't even Jewish, and even if he had been, HE WAS NOT TARGETED FOR THAT.
Conflating Israel with all Jews and lying that Zionists who are targeted are not being targeted for their fanatical devotion to the genocidal Israeli death-cult and its mass burning alive, beheading, removed and murder of Palestinian babies, children, girls, boys, women and men, intentionally launders genocidal Zionist propaganda.
So it is not at all surprising that both Sanders and AOCIA who have done this from the beginning of the genocide are still doing it now:
never forget that AOCIA viciously smeared anti-genocide protesters in New York, saying "anti-Semitism has no place in our city", and voted for the IHRA equating criticism of Israel with anti-Semitism. She helped normalize the fascist Zionist censorship industrial complex that is now kidnapping people off the street
in 2023, right as the genocide was reaching its most murderous levels, Bernie Sanders voted for a Senate Resolution condemning anti-genocide student protesters and organizations as "antisemitic, repugnant, and morally contemptible". He is directly responsible for the deportations
Zionism is not identical to being Jewish. That is the propaganda lie that is constantly spread to cast every act of opposition to Zionists and the genocidal death-cult as being inherently anti-Semitic, and Bernie Sanders and AOCIA have been key figures in laundering that lie
they keep doing this over and over again. Synagogues that are holding fundraisers for the genocidal Israeliremoved-army that is right now at this moment burning babies alive and starving them are protested, often by anti-Zionist Jews, and it's written as "OMG ANTISEMITIC ATTACK!!!"
it's a very simple truism intentionally obscured by propagandist liars like Bernie Sanders and AOCIA: Zionists are targeted not based on their identity, but specifically and explicitly based on their genocidal ideology. John Mearsheimer destroyed this lie:

Not the person your responding to, but Hakeem Jeffries is Nancy Pelosi's protegee. That's probably the reference.
Not sure what it has to do with moral courage though, but I see these people as careerist ghouls more than cowards.
I'm actually not super sure I want to fight about this, especially since the person I responded to never responded. So feel free to ignore this comment, it really doesn't matter much.
Your explanation makes sense, except that Bronstein_Tardigrade brought up that they call Hakeem Jeffries "Lil' Nancy" as a rebuttal to Nakoichi saying calling AOC "Lil' Miss" is uncomfortable (which I take to mean misogynistic, because it seems that way to me). And in that context, I don't then understand the argument. Bronstein_Tardigrade gets asked to please not call AOC "Lil' Miss", because it's uncomfortable (read, misogynistic), and then the response is "well that's fine, I also call a man, Hakeem Jeffries, a similar nickname, so it's not misogyny". But like, isn't it? In both cases? I'd argue at this point that actually calling AOC "Lil' Miss" is more misogynistic then calling Hakeem Jeffries "Lil' Nancy", given your explanation for where the second one comes from. Plus, of course, saying these nicknames come about as "descript[ions] of their courage" really doesn't help matters.
Misogyny is absolutely a problem on the left and I think we need to be very careful about it, including asking ourselves, truly asking ourselves, if our insulting nicknames for people actually hide some deeper bigotry, because that bigotry doesn't harm the people we're insulting, it harms our comrades. And Bronstein_Tardigrade calling people "Lil' Miss" and "Lil' Nancy" is far too close to the misogyny line for me to be comfortable with it.
