Example:
- Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
- Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
- No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
- Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
- No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

That's all the rules!

Fascism doesn't allow for two strong men, and both Musk and Trump think they are the next Fuhrer. One of them was always going to fall. Right at the end of the election Musk was in a dominating position, he was called the shadow king, and Trump the vice president.
Musk flubbed everything when he overreached with that Nazi salute. He was ready to claim his Fuhrer throne but he just tanked his company profits, and then cried about it.
Trump at least consistently grifts the right wing crowd, Musk did the most awful rebrand in history from Tony Stark-like futurist to Dark MAGA weird cringe Nazi.
Musk never had a shot and never had any influence. He was never a shadow king, just a dog to be put down if it disobeyed
I agree he never had a shot but he definitely had some influence.
But that influence was just money, and there are other influential people out there who don't want to be in front of the camera 24/7, so he has to go. Rest assured he'll be toiling behind the scenes for the same ruling class goals as all the others though.
Only influence as someone accomplishing only what Trump wants. He was only listened to when his goals fully aligned with Trump's. Such henchmen only have the illusion of influence, as they have no real freedom to act on their own.
It's a perfect example of the illusion of control Trump sells to the rich; they will only benefit by playing along, and will not get anywhere if they don't. He really doesn't need to listen to them, as they have no real power to wield over him.
Unlike under the liberal system where they could do any number of things to undermine politicians' power because politicians were bound to the ballot box, Trump effectively isn't anymore. He might legit die before his term is up, and is capable of thoroughly corrupting the system enough to remain in power without elections if he does. He is redesigning the government to not need congress or the judiciary, meaning nobody will really be able to stop him within the system.
Violent methods become the only option, and there is no shot the wealthy libs will actually be brave enough to act out. Most will just ride the grift until Trump dies, knowing full well they'll face little accountability for sponsoring death camps.
It wasn't just money, it was also rigging the election
