imagine if Europe was a country, and 95% of its politicians were Serbian. Now also imagine that in this alternate reality's history, Serbia had invaded and Serbianized all of northeast europe. Now imagine that under this new European nation, they force everyone from Crete to Ireland to learn Serbian in schools (in addition to their native language and obviously necessary english)

What are the Indian version of the "Serbs" called?
Many will disagree, but this is the simplest distillation for the westoid mind
Basically North India (minus Maharashtra). You could call them "Hindustanis" but that term would exclude Punjab which if anything was the source of everything North Indian thousands of years ago
I hank you for filling my westoid mind with some rough knowledge. Hope it will be refined to something more accurate as i learn more.
