Have you ever heard of pulling a prank at work that causes panic? Yeah, Chevron would still fire someone even over a totally fake paper cigarette, just for causing panic.

Then perhaps they're neglecting or outright ignoring OSHA regulations. Anything that can potentially cause a spark is banned from oil refineries.

A piece of paper with some foil isn’t going to cause a spark. I’m directly refuting your claim that you would get fired for it because it “caused a panic”. You’re just making shit up.
