Have had a contemplative sunday. Am recovering from surgery, resting in bed, thinking about hiw/why I havent really spoken to my very elderly mother in years. Is this the painkillers talking, or sensibility?

that's the problem - I'm not sure who's not talking to whom/who is drawing (in)appropriate boundaries. But thank you for your well wishes - much appreciated
