Valeriano Orobón Fernández, born on this day in 1901, was a Spanish anarcho-syndicalist theoretician, trade union activist, translator, and poet who wrote the lyrics of the revolutionary song "A Las Barricadas".
Orobón believed in the organizational power of unions, believe that they would have a major role in reorganizing society in a more libertarian fashion. Orobón was also strongly opposed to the communist (i.e., Soviet) ideas in Spain during the Spanish Civil War.
Shortly before his untimely death from tuberculosis, Orobón wrote the words of "A Las Barricadas" to the tune of "Warszawianka 1905 roku", itself a well-known Polish revolutionary song. The anti-fascist tune became the anthem of the Confederación Nacional del Trabajo (CNT), and one of the most popular songs of the Spanish anarchists during the Civil War.

I have the most sensitive skin and literally every skincare product has made me flakey/oily/break out. Cerave, Vanicream, that other one thats supposed to be great.. I feel like niacinamide fucks me up which is in EVERYTHING now.... BUT, Aveeno calm+restore seems to be the one. Kinda spendy but worth it, for anyone who has had a terrible time with skincare. Slugging with Vaseline is dope too. This is the only stuff that seems to not irritate my skin and ive tried thousands of dollars worth of products by now.
The only stuff that works for me is the Cetaphil tubs. Not the pump bottle or any of the other dispensers
Cetaphil, thats the one! Thats so weird though, I assume the tub and pump bottles would have the same formulation though?
Different consistency and ingredients. The pump one is a lotion, it's runnier. For me it doesn't absorb as well. The tub one is a cream and is branded for dry to very dry skin. I'll post the ingredients below under spoiler tab

Is aveeno the one that's like wheat germ or whatever? I've used that one and it's good, on par w cetaphil for my skin
Oh okay I thought for some reason they would have the same formulation. My skin is finicky in that way too, I currently use an Aveeno moisturizer from a different line and I feel like it might clog my pores a bit so I'm waiting on one from calm + restore in the mail. It's like one ingredient out of 20 will just fuck up your whole regimen lol. And yeah, the calm+restore one is oats and feverfew and then the most basic ingredients for preservatives/texture/moisture retention like glycerin. Just so excited to find something that works it's been like 20 years of a bunch of stuff just wrecking my skin. I grew up in the days of Stridex pads and gnarly astringents so I think I just absolutely fucked up my skin barrier
I'm glad you found something that works!
