how did you find MILs 70s carpet? She had lovely matching shantung cushions and curtains.

akshully , I do very plain walls and rugs and stuff , that's so I can cover the walls with art prints, with reliefs and the shelves with object .

That actually sounds very nice, especially as I know you collect seashells and things. Before this place, my houses all had an antique store jungle bazaar vibe. Since I had the kids and started living here it's been no indoor plants and nothing quirky and interesting, just a very practical and boring "doesn't matter if it gets dirty/found on someone's nature strip" vibe. With the exception of the kids art and photos of course.
