For this Friday Movie Night, first up is The Host (2006), from renowned auteur Bong Joon-ho (Parasite, Snowpiercer) about a tentacled creature that preys on idiot humans who keep polluting its water. After that is Train to Busan (2016), which is about a zombie apocalypse, but on a train Despite the generic-sounding premise, it has an excellent rating on Letterboxd, so we’re watching it. It is by far the best-known film of its director, Yeon Sang-ho.

We’ll start at 9PM EST on Hextube, right here: https://live.hexbear.net/c/movies

Be there, comrades!

Gradian checking in. I thought I saw this post on grad but ended up having to find it over here. I got not much going tonight and loves me some horror so I can prob drop by. I am gonna try and finish a bit of code practice but I can do that and still be somewhat present. If it wasn't cross-posted over on our movie comm maybe dump it there too?

The hextube is a pretty nice little hangout even outside of "official" movie hours. It's easy to casually queue up something for others to watch. (Though I usually torment others with goofy B-movies.)

Bro, torment away. I'm a huge fan of B horror lol.
