i was getting hex withdrawal. I didn't even use Lemmy that much while you were unfederated from the URL thing and would read from your actual webpage. most other instances feel unbearable these last few months.

I can't begin to imagine what it must have been like for you un-hexed folks having to deal with the brain rot while we were in a state of utter calm and unruffled repose. pikmin-chillin (If you ignore the bizarre struggle sessions)

I was on db0 and mander for a while, keep coming back because of the rampant liberalism everywhere else (not in those two instances, necessarily; they're actually both pretty great, but by being federated to almost everyone, it really opens you up to a lot of bullshit)

lemmy.world and a few other instances are getting pretty bad with the anti-communist hysteria and rampant liberalism lately. It seems like liberals from Reddit end up at .world mostly. There's been a huge uptick in posts calling lemmy and hexbear users tankies, and stoking hate and division against leftist communities. It sucks, because up until a few months ago the fediverse was mostly chill about that kind of reddit-esque fearmongering against leftists.

It's all the usual stuff, but there was a big influx of European nationalists from Reddit, which is somewhat different from the typical USian liberalism

there was a "buy european" trend in the euro subs and since reddit is USA made and Lemmy EU made plus a new reddit crackdown that made a bunch of people migrate to lemmy

Does Lemmy have it's own EU instance now?

[-] [email protected] 5 points 2 months ago

Nope, only some country instances

[-] [email protected] 9 points 2 months ago

Yeah I noticed that when we refederated lol

Yep, they're somehow even more smug.
