GTA IV: The Lost and Damned is... okay? I don't really like any of the characters and the missions aren't amazing either. Niko was a much more enjoyable protagonist, flaws and all. I appreciate the more serious tone of GTA IV and "realistic" driving, and since I normally reluctantly end up agreeing with "elitists" on gaming takes, but I don't think I'll end up replaying IV.
The direction they'll take with GTA VI will definitely be interesting. I hope they find a middle ground between the realism and set dressing of IV with the gameplay of V.
I'm very bearish on AAA gaming in general, so we will see. Pretty much all of my hotly anticipated titles are indies.
I never played the expansions to IV so it's still such a good game in my head
It's certainly not a bad game, I just didn't find myself loving it.
That's your right as a gamer
