I was at a dinner recently with an adult cousin of mine who is autistic. He said the r-slur which shocked me as he didn’t really come across as a guy like that. Ive known him for many years and could barely believe what I had just heard. I asked why he said that word and he replied “Its okay, Im autistic, I can say it”. I am autistic too and don’t use that language, but what do you think hexbear?

I think that word/slur is unfortunately making a big comeback in the current cultural/political climate, so there are going to be a lot more people using it. This is not going to be the last time you'll be shocked to hear it from someone you didn't expect it from.
