Interesting watch. I'm not completed sold on his argumentation, but it's interesting to think about.
Yeah, I'm not convinced that 90 year olds in the 70s were wearing the cliché 70s clothes, so at some point styles become more generational and less associated with the current decade.
Yeah, I've heard a lot of convincing arguments against the "we speak differently, therefore we think differently" theory (I'm sure there's an actual name for that) when talking about language barriers, and Adam comes pretty close to making that argument in this.
Linguistic relativity or Sapir–Whorf hypothesis.
