Remember how Trump said he "sent the military in and opened up the water flow" in CA? It appears he forced the Army Corps to just drain reservoirs into recently flooded farmland without telling local farmers or leaders. “In 25 years, I’ve never seen anything like this. I was given no explanation at all.” Rumors are that local Republicans are panicked over this screwing of their constituents. Nothing but chaos meddling in local water management from the White House. https://sjvwater.org/decision-to-dump-water-from-tulare-county-lakes-altered-after-sending-locals-in-mad-scramble/

The water is hundreds of miles from the fires. It isn’t helping put out fires at all. It’s just a political stunt so he can say he did something. “Tulare County water managers were perplexed and frustrated, noting both physical and legal barriers that make it virtually impossible for Tulare County river water to be used for southern California fires.” https://sjvwater.org/trumps-emergency-water-order-responsible-for-water-dump-from-tulare-county-lakes/

The moment that sticks out in my head was, I think JD Vance, saying "we need the federal government to take over California because they just can't run their own state anymore" or something to that effect.

And it's like, this shit is all they would do. Flood already-flooded farmland and accomplish nothing. California's water management has problems but it's not a lack of knowledge about how to manage it, it's the fact that it's all privately owned and operated for the profit of the owners rather than the benefit of everyone.

...

Also, calling it now, but if there's a fire in that part of California before the reservoirs refill they will totally blame Californians for it despite the draining being their own awful idea.

Critical support to the Calexit movement, I cannot help but think that California's woes are caused by sabotage by the federal government for not being racist enough to make an example out of it.
