For those not in the southern US, actual Krispy Kreme stores light up a "Hot!" neon sign out front when they're actively making donuts, and you can get some pulled right off the conveyor belt of deliciousness. If you don't have a Krispy Kreme store near you, your best bet is to find them in a grocery store and microwave them for 7 seconds to semi-recreate the experience. You can alternatively roast them over a fire like a marshmallow for a little bit which gets them closer to hot-off-the-belt.
