Why is this considered body shaming but OP calling a guy "shortstack" isn't?

Insulting someone based off their appearance is body shaming. Insulting someone for the exact same thing they insulted you for is just giving them a taste of their own medicine, no?

Yes, but is that acceptable in other contexts?

It doesn't make it NOT body shaming because it's in response to body shaming.

To be clear, I thought it was really funny, but I'm just looking for the consistency

maybe its something i should self crit on for going for that insult, but some guy with a napoleon complex was trying to fight/neg me out of nowhere, a woman who is more fit than him and could take him in a fight... idk. it just pissed me off and it made me wonder who else he harasses if he had the gall to start shit with a woman a foot taller than him. i wanted to inflict maximum damage to his ego that makes him think he can fuck with women. i deeply enjoyed shoving him onto that disgusting gas station floor. i probably wouldnt have gone for an insult like that if it wasnt a situation that was turning physical by him blocking the entrance, that really set me off.

Uncritical support. I dream of doing shit like that

Oh goodness this reminds me of an argument I had with my philosophy friend who knows way more than me over morality, murder, and killing. Like yes according to a consistent moral code you shouldn't say this and shouldn't do a lot of things in fact. But in reality people's semi-consistent codes are complex and conditional.

"Knowing" about morality isn't a thing, they've just read other people's opinions on it.

I don't know what diegeticalt responded to the troll, but is "shortstack" even an insult? Given the context, I don't think OP has any actual problem with the other person's appearance.

I'd be happy to be corrected by other comrades, but I'm pretty sure "cracker" is far more derogatory than this, and the lack of terms like "derogatory" or such in the Wiktionary entry for the former seem to support my suspicions.
