Théophile Ferré was a leader of the Paris Commune who was executed by the French government on this day in 1871. Ferré personally authorized the execution of the archbishop of Paris and was the first of 25 Communards to be executed.

Little is known about Ferré's early life, before his participation in the Paris Commune. After Paris was seized by revolutionaries in March 1871, Ferré served on the Commune's Committee of Public Safety, a body given extensive powers to hunt down enemies of the Commune.

On April 5th, the Commune passed a decree that authorized the arrest of any person thought to be loyal to the French government in Versailles, to be held as hostages. Prominent figures arrested included a Catholic priest Georges Darboy and the archbishop of Paris. The Commune hoped to exchange their hostages for Louis-Auguste Blanqui, a revolutionary and honorary President of the Commune, imprisoned by the state.

Following the events of the "Bloody Week", in which the French government summarily executed many suspected Communards, Ferré authorized the execution of several hostages, including Darboy and the archbishop.

After the resistance of the Commune collapsed, Ferré was captured by the army, tried by a military court, and sentenced to death. On November 28th, 1871, he was shot at Satory, an army camp southwest of Versailles. He was the first of twenty-five Communards to be executed for their role in the Paris Commune.

I just had a horrible nightmare that I think would make for a bomb ass analog horror series

Basically, the plot, from what I can piece together after waking up is some guy finds a device or gets a technique to peer into something like a subsection of reality which is inhabited by a number of malevolent beings, starting out from a usual scary monster that can be defeated,to something called "shoppers",I remember naming them in my dream, beings which act very odd, basically they mutate and morph every second, are basically imperceptible but have some sort of highly grotesque form that comes out when they attack (edit:now I remember the perspective shits constantly from reality to the other dimension so that's why, basically you can't see them in regular reality but their form come out when the person shifts to the subreality)

So,this guy stumbles?, or idk what he does but he ends up in this place and is attacked by them and eventually it turns into a room rapidly being covered in strange symbols that would convert him into some monster,so he has to escape through a window that comes out of nowhere, and scale the building revealing that the sky has a trapdoor with a key in it and he has to reach the keyring with his finger to reach the exit, but it's a race against time and the floor, the walls and then the roof are rapidly being covered in these glyphs, he makes it to the roof, almost gets his finger in the key ring, but falls at the last second and then he his killed by the native creatures, and then they somehow revive his corpse and parade it around, but he has no head

Then,it shifts into regular reality and it turns out the guy was morphed into this grotesque humanoid monster with limbs fused together and his face features morphing into one another and he's wandering into a village and people are horrified of him

But then, the next "episode",cuz I imagined it in my dream as a series of videos of an analog horror series, would be him being somehow surgically fixed and back to normal and he is doing a tv show for some reason, but it gradually shifts into some Cthulhu/Zalgo type shit and reality begins to break down, the main character begins to shift and morph again, and I liken him to some herald of the "shoppers",but then the camera begins panning to people around him and they begin mutating, but you can tell they're in great distress and fighting it

Then I woke up,but I also remember some other tidbits,I remember that subsection of reality having more reality warpers like the shoppers, but I don't remember if I elaborated on that

Also, when the guy fell while trying to reach the keyring he had like a game over screen but then some tribal looking things with no heads resurrected him and then did what I said

Also,I remember something about some characters from a fictional universe ending up in that realm somehow,I think they were Steven Universe characters or something close, anyway, they were fighting the "shoppers",the regular gems could only be hurt physically, while the human girl fighting with them was almost like possessed or something by the shoppers and had her face shift and peel and then was forced to fight against her allies and you could tell she was being puppeted and that she could see everything that was happening,I remember in this and the part with the show you could see the sad eyes in the deformed people,it was some scary shit, one I remember was kind of trying to fight it and had its face constantly changing but there was this silent scream and sad eyes always coming through the chaos

Very terrifying dream, the visuals were very, very scary and I wish we had something that could put dreams into images, because id make bank selling that as an analog horror series

I'd watch that... and regret it after going to bed.
