It would be so hilarious if the first time that the House of Representatives had to decide the president in case of a tie is for Trump.
They had to in the election of Thomas Jefferson over Aaron Burr.
I thought that eventually enough electors switched sides after several votes and horse trading instead of defferring to the House. Though I haven't checked.
No it was the house and it was deadlocked there too for a really long time.
