I was thinking yesterday how Trump's still got goons ready to activate and do violence if he loses.
Yeah, RevLeft summed it up like that. These suburban fascists like to cosplay rebels, but deep down they know they're in a cozy spot.
And a lot of the Jan 6 chuds really, really thought they'd get away with it. They had two very strongly held beliefs:
The test for many legal exceptions is whether a "reasonable person" would believe such-and-such. But conservatives really think that if they strongly profess a belief, that's just as good. It's why they started calling all their opponents pedophiles. The actual concept doesn't even cross their mind, to them it's just a word that means "can be murdered"
