I know what critical means in critical support, but I'm curious what Russia's motivations are here if true.

Yeah, I grew up during the post 9/11 hysteria too. Shit was dark.

I agree with your point about Amerikkkans linking Taliban and Putin as a shortcut to mean "evil" brown people.
