Yes. It's partially the accent but everything else doesn't help.
one of my clients has a contract with a guy out there and we always give him shit for his accent by doing that cartoonish snl skit voice. "Just get on the 101 and let it drop you off where you belong!"
Do not get on the 101. It has traffic jams at 3 AM.
