Americans eat really well, some Americans, but not everyone cooks because not everyone has the ability or the time and energy.
Home brands are very cheap there and good quality. The basics are so cheap too. It's all about choice.
What we hear in Australia is the American middle class looking down on the good basics. ( it's so classist there ) And there is a tendency to diss America in the press here too.
I ate like a king in America.
that pink grapefruit juice is so yum, I totes miss half and half, jalapeno jack and Wholefoods homebrands. omg, and the peaches from down south π avocados from mexico really do taste better.
The food here is expensive. I don't know why.
JalapeΓ±o Jack can be found at Colonial fruit and veg, if you are so inclined. Itβs one of my favourite cheese.
Cool. It's the best for with mexican food and to make nachos ππ
I think thats it, their pantry stuffers are so much cheaper, more varied and give a lot more basic meal options.
