MODERATORS
A guy I know who is typically "normal" (although very anticommunist) went on a long rant about hip length or some shit in a group chat im in. I've know the guy for 20+ years at this point and he keeps becoming more reactionary every year I feel. Doesn't help that he's in the medical industry either. I can't stand this shit, and it gets tolerated or at least, not called out by others in our clique. I stepped away from digital communications with them for almost a year because of how toxic he is. Its like the text chat is his internal monolog because he's rarely like this in person.
But I'll probably disengage again after this latest screed, but man, its hard. That group has been stable for 20+ years. Most of them are still cool. Its just frustrating to watch these takes go unchallenged. I don't have the energy to do it myself anymore.
If your clique includes fat Canadian commie dads, I'd be happy to join!
