Those capitalist brain worms really run deep. You're right it shouldn't be about winning or losing just having fun and bonding. I know I wouldn't mind hanging out with some comrades to play some soccer irl, if it wasn't for covid at least, or ultimate frisbee or whatever y'all play.

With how similar I keep hearing Rome and the past were to now I wouldn't put it past it. Call it capitalism call it imperialism same difference. The past people didn't do things just because but because of material interests like they do now. Maybe more educated peeps here can explain but that is my hunch.
