Progressives want this. Donors don't. It stands no chance of passing. If Democrats win back the house and retain control of the senate, we'll get to see who rotates in to replace Manchin as the only Democrat whose voice matters.

Your pessimism knows no bounds. It completely depends on voter turnout. If Biden loses, it’ll be due to abstentions. Those abstentions would have massive down-ballot consequences with the entire House and a third of the Senate up for grabs.

Vote in November, or be ready to accept what Republicans decide for our nation.

Oh good. We're pretending proposals are accomplishments again.

Vote in November, or be ready to accept what Republicans decide for our nation.

I intend to vote for Biden in November. That will not stop Republicans from deciding, since Democrats keep adopting their policies, like they have with immigration.

It’s already passed approval by the IRS and the Department of the Treasury. If Democrats vote more than Republicans, they will control Congress.

If Democrats vote more than Republicans, they will control Congress.

Which only means we'll get to find out who the next Manchin is.

One seat won’t matter with a sizable majority.

So we'll get to find out who the next Lieberman is.

We had a supermajority for Lieberman. It does not matter how big a majority we give Democrats. They find the no votes. They capitulate.

The “supermajority” was a 60-40 split. That’s not a true 67/33 supermajority. It’s only filibuster-proof. It also only lasted 72 days.

You think we're gonna get more than 60 this time? If not, We're only gonna see who the next Manchin is.

It’s only filibuster-proof.

Here's where I point out once again that Democrats could have done away with the filibuster for good at any point during which they had a simple majority. If they wanted to. They don't want to.
