They dye the relish in Chicago. Don't know why but it's a part of a real Chicago hot dog

That is so weird. Looks like blue dye! Definitely way less appealing than the natural colour of pickles that Iโ€™m used to with relish.

According to Wikipedia, it is blue dye. I guess it mixes with the green of the relish to make...that.

I have never seen a Chicago style hot dog in person but that's apparently just relish but with blue food coloring added
